We watched phantom of the opera last November 25 and December 2,2015.when we first watch this movie I don't have any idea about this movie honestly this is my first time to watch musical movie at first I felt bored because I don't know what to expect or what happening in the end but the movie goes on and try to focus and watch.when characters start singing especially Christine and phantom i said to myself wowww what an angelic voice they start singing and I am really amazed of this they have really, really nice voice when phantom start singing I fell in love to his voice and I am curious about this movie.

The story of phantom of the opera it about phantom"opera ghost" who falling in love to Christine "the operas breakout new soprano"Christine is kidnapped by phantom and is taken to his home where to reveal his true identity,he plan to keep Christine for few days hoping she will come to in love him.Christine unmask Phantom and reveal his identity and to horror of both ,behold, his noiseless, lip less sunken eyed face. Christine request to release after two weeks phantom agree on condition that she wear his ring and be faithful to him. after the following night phantom force Christine to marry him and Raoul attempt to rescue Christine and Raoul trapped in a hot torture chamber.Raoul is a childhood friend and love interest of Christine
Christine beg and offer to be his "living bride"promising not to kill herself after becoming his bride.Phantom eventually rescues Raoul from his torture champers, when phantom alone with Christine he lifts his mask to kiss her on her forehead and is given a kiss back to phantom and he reveal that he has never received a kiss before.phantom allowed to escape Raoul and Christine and return the gold ring he gave her
This movie was really interesting for me because phantom he let go Christine despite of his love her.and the characters are really have nice voice especially Christine and phantom they are blessed to have kind of voice

How to Recognize Plagiarism

Word-for-word

Word-for-word plagiarism is committed when a writer takes a sequence of 7 or more words from another source, but fails to identify the quoted passage, fails to provide the full in-text citation crediting the author(s), and fails to provide the bibliographic reference.
Read the example carefully

Explanation: This version is word-for-word plagiarism. The student included a portion of the original author's work in a sentence without using quotation marks. No citation points to author or to thereference provided. No credit was given to the original author in the text of the paper, and quotation marks were not used. So a reader does not know these are someone else's words, nor the source where these words can be found--especially if there is more than one reference in the bibliograpphy.
Explanation: Quotation marks are used to indicate that this passage is a word-for-word quote from the original document. Here thefull in-text citation follows the quote and includes the locator. Of course, the full reference is also provided. A reader can find exactly where the words came from. Just find the book in the biblography that is referred to, and look on page 17.
We are using APA style here. References are provided at the end of a paper in APA style
In other styles, the bibliographic reference might be put in a footnote on the page where the citation occurs. In any case, the reference should provide sufficient information for a reader to find the original source, e.g., in a library.
Original Source Material: Constructivism is a movement that extends beyond the beliefs of the cognitivist. It considers the engagement of students in meaningful experiences as the essence of learning. The shift is from passive transfer of information to active problem solving. Constructivists emphasize that learners create their own
interpretations of the world of information.

Plagarism, the act of taking credit for somebody else's work or intellectual property. We are all very familiar with it, but at some point of our lives we are guilty of commiting it whether consciously or unconsciously.
The most common people to be guilty with plagarism are the students, probably because for the simple reason that they have a gigantic work load and they are subjected to time pressure and mental drain, so the seemingly natural thing to do is to resort to plagarism. But what they fail to realize is that they are not just fooling their teachers or peers, but more than that they are doing a great diservice to themselves because they are depriving themselves to grow as a thinking human being.

It's not just the students who are guilty of plagarism, anyone could sometimes commit it without meaning to.
There is nothing wrong with using reference books and journal or other sources of information as long as you cite them. Sometimes we read something from a book or a journal perhaps and then when we write a paper related to it we tend to paraphrase the idea but we then fail to cite the source. Another thing is we sometimes tend to overlook citations. Sometimes when we already mentioned the source in the references we tend to think that there is no more need for a citation or vice versa, but that is not the case. We must keep in mind that every citation should be present in the references and every reference should have a corresponding citation.
The best thing to do to avoid plagarism is to make sure to give credit where cridet is do, be honest with ourselves, and be careful in citing and writing references. If we are able to do this then we are actually transforming ourselves into a responsible and reliable writer and researcher.

No.12 Media Literacy:''Mobilizing the Millennials as Society Responsible Prosumer"

Last Wednesday,November 25,2015 we have attended a seminar together with my bocksmates, about media literacy entitled:Media Literacy "Mobilizing the Mellenials as Society Responsible Prosumers.Andwe were privilegde to be a ableto listen to notable person from the pretegious GMA network. The speakers are  First is Miss Edmallyne Remillano Head writer, state of the Nation with Jessia Soho,  Secreary, Talent Association of GMA network.second is miss Jan Meynard Nualla Program producer,Global Conversations on CNN Plippines Affliation,Talent association of GMA Network(TAG)Socaity of Asian Journalist (SAJ).and the last speaker is Miss Lian Nami Buan Association Producer for Segment, state of the Nation with Jessica Soho, Association Editor,Subselfie com Affliation,Talent Association of GMA

there were a lot of important things that were raised and discussed during the simenar, and even after the event was over.I am still left thinking and reflection about the issues that were discussed the seminar. In this digital age knowledge. Now the question is ''is media being responsible about the tremendous task that it has to perform for the public?" "how accurate are are the information that the different media are giving us?''
These question could not be easily answered, but I would lile to also point out that misinformation could not solely be blamed on the media, for the audience, also plays an inportant role in information consumption. What do the audience consider as important and irrelevant information?

Lets us take for example the twitter-phenomenon "aldud".Now I would like to make clear that i have nothing against the said program, but what concerns me (and you should be too)si the amount of publicity and attention that its getting from the midea consumers. There is nothing wrong with admiring the program, after all it is a real good one,but i do believe that there are far more important and urgent things to focus on social media than that.Isseus like the Syria crisis for example. How many more tweets about aldub is there than tweets about Syria? Doesn't this phononenon raise concerns about human being in general value more?

Its is true that the people who conctrols the media media should be careful, responsible, and accountable  for what they feed thier audience, but the audience in turn should also be careful, responsible and accountable for discerning what information to digest.
Media could be a very helpful thing if utilized corectly, but as with everything,it could also be harmful if misused.
So that end of the day,it all boils down to the question "Could we be trusted with all the digital and technological advancements that we have at our disposal"

No.11 K-12 Program in Philippine Education and its Benefits (Research Topic)

BENEFITS OF THE K-12 CURRICULUM FOR FILIPINO STUDENTS!

A recent change in the Philippines’ educational system was implemented starting in 2011. President Aquino signed the K 12 education into law in 2013, adding three years to the country’s basic education curriculum.
The new K 12 curriculum guide requires all Filipino students to have one year of kindergarten, six years of elementary schooling (grades 1 to 6), four years of junior high school (grades 7 to 10), and two years of senior high school (grades 11 to 12).

The rationale

Prior to the implementation of the K 12 curriculum guide, the Philippines was one of only three countries in the world and the only one in Asia that still had only 10 years in basic education.
This has always been seen as a disadvantage for our students who are competing in an increasingly global job market. The longer educational cycle of the K 12 curriculum is seen as critical in giving Filipino students a higher quality of education.
The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization – Innotech (SEAMEO-Innotech) found the previous 10-year educational cycle to be congested, with a 12-year curriculum squished into 10 years.
As a result, Filipino students have trailed behind students around the world in the areas of math, languages and science. The new curriculum is aimed to fix that.
The K 12 curriculum is designed to enable graduates to join the work force right after high school, and suitably prepare those who want to go on to higher education.
The new curriculum will also support college graduates seeking work abroad. Developed countries, according to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) briefer, “view the 10-year education cycle as insufficient.”
All in all, the enhanced K 12 curriculum is designed to provide a holistic education for all. Now decongested, it will give students ample time to master basic academic skills as well as to participate in co-curricular and community activities.

What it means for students

A The transition began in 2011, when the universal kindergarten was introduced. Starting in 2012, schools already implemented the curriculum decongestion mentioned in the DepEd briefer.
Public schools began having half-day classes for grade one students, with the mother tongue as the medium of instruction. Private schools also made adjustments in their own DepEd accredited curricula.
The adaptation of the K 12 curriculum guide means that students will graduate a bit older compared to those who graduated under the 10-year education cycle.
Far from being disadvantageous, however, DepEd states that young adults graduating at age 18 or so will be more prepared to take on their tertiary education.
Remedial classes during the first year of college will no longer be needed, as the high school curriculum will already be aligned with the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) guidelines.
The government also encourages parents to think of the K 12 curriculum guide not as having two extra years of high school, but as two years less of higher education.
Graduates of the new educational system will already be equipped to join the workforce right away with the help of the electives to be offered during grades 11 to 12.
The electives, or areas of specialization, will include academics for those who wish to pursue higher studies, technical-vocational for those who want to acquire employable skills after high school, and sports and arts for those who are inclined in the two fields.
Change is never easy, especially when it is about a big undertaking such as the implementation of the new K-12 curriculum guide in the Philippines. It is high time, however, that we join the rest of the world and improve the quality of our basic education system and our graduates.

The genius in Gilda's work, whether it be literary or visual art,is that it is able transform reflections of reality into an art form that does not violate the essence of truth.
A classic example of this is her much unclaimed work "A wilderneess of Sweet" which was about a young girl named "JOY"(about the age of twelve) who lived in a timed where World War II broke out.All the sweet inocence and idealism that the girl once held was slowly and paintfully shattered due to ther turmoils of war.And we find joy at the ending of thr story transformed from an inocent,
optimistics and idealistic girl sees tha wolrd as a "A Wilderness of Sweet" into a young adult (16years old) who is disheartened and made hard by fate and circumtance and finaly someone who sees the world not as "A Wildderness of sweet" but rather a "Wilderness of slaugther"

Her story "A Wilderness of Sweet" somehow refects her own experience as a young aristocrat girl
who experienced World War II.She had a deep well of personal experience to draw out her writing and art from.
Her writings are full of symbolism, one example of it is found in her story"A Wilderness of Sweet"
at the last where in just as the Americans ushers victory we find Joy,who is no longer an innocent girl, piching up a stick of gum this scene has a lot of depth and meaning. It some how symbolize of being immersed in a hard cruel environment of reality and yet holding in one's hand an escape to a place long forgotten by the passing of youth,a place where innocence dwells and optimism flourish,a place that once left can never be return to.

This touch of nostalgia, realia and symbolism in Gilda's work could simply put her among tha ranks og Nick Joaquin,Greg Brillantes and Cirilo Bautista just to name a few.

NO.9 "PARASYTE MOVIE PART 1"

The Japanese movie parasyte was originally from anime and manga portal, but become a movie release in japan
and other country last year 2014.the movie parasyte is part horror, part buddy comedy and part hero movie. The lead character is shinichi, an ordinary kind of student who is a shy type. he lives with his mother.the parasyte name migi was supposed to invade shinichi's body via his ear or nose then unto his brain, but it failed to do so beacuse of his earphone as he was listening to rock music.he would have suffered the same fate as many other parasyte, but due to the synergy between shinichi's body and the parasyte's very survival, they need to agree to co-exist.you could problably imagine how bizarre,it would be for someone or something to live inside you, talks to you and ask you about mundane things share the nutrients of the food you eat and utilize a host's body to live and battle it out with other parasytes.

Unlike the other parasyte that invate other people direct to thier brain and the parasyte need to eat human flesh to survived they need to killed people and eat to survive .
Migi is on the right hand of shinichi which has now an eye and mouth accepting the fact that one would die if another dies.they joined forces against other parasaytes.
They met high school teachers, named ryoko tamiya,mr.A and shimedam. the other  parasyte has taken control of ryoko tamiya achemistru teacher but instead of posing a predictable treat to the student she approahes her new identity as a form of science with human.she was intrigued by the way right manage to co-exist with his serve as the go between for shinichi and the parasyte, whom still who would die if seperated from his host seen undicided whether to threaten or protect shinichi.

Shinichi have a mother who always prepared him breakfast before she goes to work and she really love shinichi.migi asked shinichi what kind of food does his mother prepares, and why migi is strong ang have a nutrients and he still survive in shinichi's body unlike the other parasyte they need to eat human flesh just to survive.
One night while they were going home, shinichi and migi was attacked by mr.A ,but migi and shinichi try to escape but they can't, instead they fight mr.a and he lost lots of blood thats he need to transfer into other body.that night shinichi's mother was walking on her way home, mr.A transfered to shinichi's mother.thats the part I was really sad because of what happened to the mother of shinichi.after what happened to his mothers he become strong. he find mr. A and ready to fight with him.shinichi and ryoko tamiya was talking about mr.A they heard screams of students. shimeda attacked the art class students, he killed all the students except sotomi because she was saved by Shinichi and Migi they fight with Shimeda.Shinichi and migi killed Shimeda and after that Ryoko Tamiya talked to shinichi and migi that her decision to get pregnant wondering her maternal instincts will override her potentially genocidal programing.she want to feel how to become a mother after what happened to the parents of the real Ryoko Tamiya because she recognized that ryoko tamiya was not the real daughter.

I' ve learned from this movie all about the maternal instinct because all mothers would do everything to protect thier children; like the mother of shinichi despite of what happened to her she really tried to protect shinichi from mr.A.also the mothet of ryoko tamiya she know that her daughter is not real and most especiall to ryoko she really want to become a mother despite of identity a parasyte inside a human being she want to feel how to be a mother. We should express our love for our mother or our family everyday because we dont know what will happen in the future.

NO.7 APC non- smoking campaign

The campaign against smoking is really important to me because I lost both my parents because of cigarette. My father was a chain smoker and he did not realise the risks of cigarette to his health and he was diagnosed with lung cancer and after three months he passed away because of what cigarette did to his health.

8 years after my father passed away, my mother was also diagnosed with lung cancer because she inhaled the second hand smoke of my father, again, after three months she passed away. It’s really hard to lose our parents because of smoking.

Many of the smokers are not really aware of the risks of cigarette smoking.
I have many questions in my mind that I always ask to the smokers, like: “Why do you smoke?”
I asked students, employees, and even ordinary smokers why they smoke; and here are their common reasons:

Smoking is a great stress reliever:
The student reasoned out that it is to relieve their stress from school; from their subjects anxiety or tension from exam and they also want to relax themselves from pressure in school and family. They also think they can forget all their stress if they smoke.

Employees also think that if they’re pressured from their job or boss they need to smoke cigarette to relieve their stress. They feel calm and relax because they believe that taking a break from anything help the nerves. Even though it isn't confirmed that nicotine decrease anxiety or tension, many people start to smoke or continue smoking thinking that it relieves stress.

It’s a great conversation starter:
Most of the smokers when someone asked a fellow smokers for a light that’s the start of a new friendship. Like in the parking slot in APC, I observed that most of the students begin to bond with each other or talk while they are in smoking session and they look happy when they share cigarette with each other. More cigarette, more conversation; and the parking lot resembles a chimney because of the volume of smoke that comes from it; but the student don’t really care about it because they are enjoying their smoking session.

I remember when I asked an 18 years old boy why he smokes. He told me that it’s just for fun because most of his friends are smoking and he was curious so he try to smoke. He then started to enjoy smoking cigarette. I asked him if he knew the effects of smoking cigarette and he answered me “No. All I know is I’m enjoying smoking.” that’s when I felt sad for him because he really don’t care about his health.

Most of the smokers don’t know the risks of smoking or they know but they ignored it because they feel good and they think that smoking is helpful for them and they also don’t care also about the second hand smoke.

I really think that it’s unfair that smokers are smoking in public places like in APC parking area. I would like to tell them “Please think about yourselves and those people around you especially the children because they don’t have any idea of the risk of smoking and second hand smoke.”

Smokers need to be responsible because second hand smoke can cause very serious diseases. Both the smoker and the people around him are at a risk because of smoking. Tobacco smoke is harmful to smokers and non smokers, cigarette smoking cause many type of CANCER including cancer of the lungs, esophagus, larynx, mouth, kidney, bladder,
pancreas, stomach and cervices as well as acute myloid leukemia.

To the students, chain smokers, and to the youth that start smoking: please stop or reduce your smoking, because you don’t realise the risks of cigarette to your health because you thinking that this is helpful to you and you’re enjoying it; but you are really, really wrong! Cigarette is not a cure for your stress or a good way to relieve boredom or a good way to bond with your friends.
Cigarette smoking can harm nearly every organ, destroy your health, your body, destroy people around you especially your future.

There are many things you can do to relieve your stress; you can sleep, watch movie, talk to your family to become relaxed, you can bond with your friends without smoking cigarette and many many more things that we can make happy and relaxed. We need to enjoy our life that God gave us and we need to appreciate what we have and especially we deserve to have a healthy lifestyle. Life is so good and we must enjoy every moment, everyday because we cannot bring back the past..smoke free+healthy lifestyle=happy and long life.

NO.6 the movie "turn left turn right"

Turn left turn right is a romantic drama movie about two lovers, John Liu, an aspiring concert violinist and Eve Choi, a literary translator who prefers to write poetry. The two are destined
for each other, but destiny just keeps on playing tricks on them.

When I watched this movie it filled me with mixed emotions, like excitement, sadness, feeling in love, and joy. I was wondering why the movie was entitled Turn left turn right; then I realised that probably it’s because John Liu keeps on turning left while Eve Choi keeps on turning right; but I was really glad that at the end they finally found Each other.

I’ve learned from this movie that there are many things in life that we don’t know and can’t control; and that all the actions that we make has its consequence. There are also many kinds of people that we me in this life time and one of them might be our destiny. I believe in second chances, be it in career, in love life, or even in our daily life. All of us deserve a second chance, that’s why if we fail we should not be afraid to start again or wait for the right time.

Yes, sometimes it may feel like  destiny is deliberately playing tricks on us, and that we may feel like giving up an just accepting our fate, but this should not discourage us. Each one of us has a unique destiny therefore we should pursue it in different ways. While searching for our destiny we could already learn a lot of important things like being strong, patient, wise and not losing hope; just like the characters in the movie. Both of them were very patient, waiting for the right time. Even if they have missed a lot of chances, they did not lose hope.

Sometime we think that we already found our destiny like the character of Dr.Hu and Ruby they though their destinies are for John and Eve, but they were wrong. They were heartbroken and reluctant to introduce John and Eve to each other, but they realised that they are destined for each other.

I had a relationship before I thought that I already found my destiny, but I was wrong. Sometime you need to make a decision for the better no matter how hard it may seem at first. We made a decision that’s better for both of us, we broke up in a nice way and I know we decided for our own good so that we could both grow more and we gave ourselves a chance to search for our destiny.

Now I'm willing to wait for my own destiny. I know I will find him in the perfect time. I will meet the right person for me. Maybe I need to go through it all to discover myself and how to become strong, patient and better person.

There is a saying "if two people meet and they both fall in love that is destiny, but no matter how many times two people and one of them did not fall in love with the other then it’s not destiny."

I know we meet lot of people in our daily life and there are times that we think we meet our destiny and if in the end we fail don’t be afraid to try and give it another chance, maybe destiny teaches us to be patient and strong and every person we met we learned from them. In a perfect time it would happen that the universe would let you meet once more, indeed timing is everything.

Life is like a road, most of the time we should find the straight path so that we could reach our destination faster, but sometimes we have to travel the winding road where our journeys might take longer because of all the twists and turns. But no matter road we choose to travel, what matters is the lessons and experiences that we get from our journey.

Our life depends on what we chose, whether the right decision or wrong decision; but the important thing is whether we made a right or wrong decision we learn how to handle the consequences. What’s important is all of these experiences in life make us a better person.
