No.17 My first term and English term in Asia Pacific College

My first term and English term in Asia Pacific College was really memorable  and fruitful because of the people I've met which are my professors,blocks mates and friends. when I decided to go back to school, honestly I don't know why I chose APC. when I'm looking for a university to enroll in I just saw APC in the Internet. I don't have any idea about this school but I prayed to god that he would provide the best school for me.
After I inquired  in the admission I took the entrance exam and I passed it.on my first day I felt very nervous,scared and anxious because its the first time I'm going back to school after 14 years and I don't know what to expect from my classmates, professor and especially with my subjects.

My original section was BM152 but the registrar office changed my section to BM151.when I met all my classmates, most of them are younger than me and they are very competitive.Honestly I felt culture shock because it was not easy to adjust for me I know that I need to refresh my mind I need to learn how to effectively study my lessons and how to do my assignment,sometimes I'm at lost for what to do. I needed to ask my classmates for help I needed to go back to basics..
I was very thankful  to god because I belong to Bm151 all my professor's are very kind, cool,easy to approach,they really guide their students and are always giving another chance.

To all my classmates I was very thankful to them because they are very kind and they threat me like their Ate. They always called me ate Jem and they are very sweet to me, they always hug me.because of them, my professors and my classmates in Bm151, I feel I had a family in APC.Now I realized why god brought me in APC because I've met people like my professor's Miss Pam,Sir Christian Fruto,Miss Joyce Umali,Very cool Sir Jaime Daroy,Miss Precy Agaton, they are very kind and very appreciable Miss Elizabeth Reyes,Thank you so much to all my professor's I learned a lot from you miss and sir.I learned how make a blog,how to make a journal,how to make a critical analysis,how to make business proposal and I faced my fear to speak in front of other people.
To my BM151 family I'm very thankful to you guys because You treat me like your own ate and I'm very happy for that,thank you for the good and happy memories,bonding,joy and laughter.. I felt sad because next term I will not be able to belong to your bockBM151 because I need  to take another subject. how I wish that I belong to Bm15 next term but like I was saying and I believed that god always have a purpose in our life that we need to accept but nothing could change the fact that they are still my family and I'm still their  ate Jem,and I'm hoping that next term I will meet professors like my professor and block mate/classmates  in my English term. I really,really miss you all i hope the feeling is still mutual.I'm looking forward for my next term in APC l believe that every person we meet in our life god always have a purpose for us..thank you so much for the wonderful memories, unforgettable,happiness."My English  Term"

No.16 SOM Speech choir competition and Ignite speech contest

The SOM speech choir "At Christmas by Edgar Albert Guess"and  Ignite contest was held last December 22,2015 at Asia Pacific college Auditorium the contestants for the speech choir are the fallowing AC151 The second runner up,AC152,BM151,MA151 the first runner up and TM151 The champion for speech choir competition.Each block perform for their  own interpretation for the  "At Christmas by Edgar Albert Guess."

Edgar Albert Guest was born in Britain but grew up and spent most of his life in the U.S.A. He was a product of "small town" America and the values and lifestyle he had as a boy permeates his writing both prose and poem. He worked most of his adult life as newspaperman, syndicated country wide and is reputed to have had a new poem published in a newspaper every day for over 30 years.Eddie Guest was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England in 1881, moving to Michigan USA as a young child, it was here he was educated.

There was a prevailing feeling of excitement and nerves in the atmosphere.Everyone was excited to perform  and show their talent and at the same time nervous to be performing in front of a live audience.I for one share the same emotions.we wanted to make our presentation as lively,and as entertaining as possible.we want to try our best in making not just our professor,but ourselves as well proud of our performance.We know that we have  to do is not an easy task  we could give the best performance that we can that time.after perform all the blocks and time for the announcement of the winner we cross are fingers that we are part of the top 3 but sadly we are not part of the top 3 we loosed in the competition.For me I really feel  sad that time but I realize that is life sometime we need to lose in order to win.The important is we did everything for the competition maybe the trophy is not ours better luck next time for other competition.The important is how we accept the challenge and I know we did everything as a group we learned how to manage our time during practice and we leaned a lot of this competition so that next time we know how to win or  to became a champion their is a saying "sometime we need to hurt in order to grow We must lose in order to gain Sometime,some lessons are learned best through pain..

For the Ignite speech each block had one representative five contestants for the ignite speech and proudly to say that the champion is from our block BM151 Mr.Benjamin Paolo Bajet  we are very proud because of him and thankful we had a champion from our block..To all the winner in ignite speech competition congratulations and also for the contestants i know you do your best and congratulations also.Thank you for the wonderful experienced and lesson I've learned.

No.15 SOM Inter-class Public Speaking contest

SOM Inter-class Public Speaking contest with the theme: "The cult of celebrities and fantasies a Filipino obsession" was held last December 21,2015 at Asia Pacific College Auditorium.AC151,AC152,BM151,MA,151 and TM151 each block had five representatives, first  in elimination round and after that in semi final the contestants' topic was about how to hundle "The  cult of celebrity and fantasies a Filipino obsession in every Filipino or in their own life how to affect the obsession in our life" each contestant had a different interpretation of celebrity obsession some in good terms because they use the celebrity or idols as inspiration in their life to fulfill their dream In the  future or they want to fallow the steps of their idols someday.while for the other contestants, they realize that the obsession to their idols is not healthy for them because sometime they spent money to buy a ticket for concert of their idol,Cd's etc but they realise that even they do everything for their idols but in the end their idols they do not appreciate everything that they can do for the sake of their idol that is the reality in life.
we know that in this generation, celebrity  has a big impact in our life especially to the youth now a days.

When they obsessed over a celebrity they do everything for their idols,I'm not in favor of it because  I feel our society has an unhealthy celebrity culture.most of the youth's role model in their life is their celebrity idol because of their obsession they want to became like their idol but in reality we have different fate in our life. we forgot being a simple person.some people or youth now a days spend their  time or money for their idols but they don't remember what god did or sacrificed for us.they have time going to concert or watch movie for their idols but they don't have time to go Church.for me celebrity is for fun not a obsession because god is above all things in this world we think of god first before we think for others.
I hope some of the youth who are obsessed with a celebrity or a person would think first of what these celebrity did or sacrifice  in your life.I hope that we always remember what Jesus did for our life he gave and sacrifice his life to save us from our sins.

if we obsessed about god, not for other thing or to other person then we would realize that we have a lot to of things to do and can do in this word if we open our eyes or heart. we will realize that we can do anything for example a simple help to other people instead you spent your money for you idols you can used it for helping other people that they deserved to help .Sometime because of insecurity in life we forgot that we can be a celebrity in our own the important is be yourself you can be a better person we can do good thinks for other we don't need to became a famous celebrity in our own we can make it.Christmas we don't forget to thank god for the blessings,unconditional love,care and sacrificed who gave to us we spread love to each other like god did for us.To all the winner  TM,AC and MA in pubic speaking congratulations.
